And the third week comes to a close. Though I'm still behind on posting to the site -- I still have all of New Orleans to add -- I'm about caught up. Visit the website at http://www.360togo.com to see the latest additions.
This week saw two key locations: New Orleans and Orlando.
New Orleans is just a wonderful city. I've been wanting to go for a long time, and I'm very glad to have finally made the trip. Furthermore, it turns out that I was just in time for the St. Patrick's Day festival -- not quite Marti Gras, but more than enough debauchery for my tastes.
Orlando I spent with my parents just hanging out, taking care of paperwork, and eating good home-cooked food. For my birthday (which is May 6th, for all that are curious), my parents bought me the PocketMail device -- a popular pick with sailors around the world. Essentially it's the size of a case for glasses with a flip out screen and keyboard. On this you read and write your email. When you're ready to send your messages and download new ones, dial a number here in the US, you hold it up to any pay phone, cell phone, hotel phone, or whatever, and it'll synchronize everything automatically. I haven't got my grubby hands on it yet, but I'll let you know how it works.
I'm currently sitting in the lobby of the Hilton here in Raleigh, getting ready to drive up DC-way where I continue my endless stream of adventure. Be sure to tune in next week to hear how it goes!
